“ We stayed for six nights in a large room with a balcony. The bathroom was spacious, with both a bathtub and a shower. However, upon entering, I noticed a thick layer of dust on the glass shelves. When housekeeping came to clean the room, they simply changed the towels, left two bottles of water, and declared the room finished. I explained that the floor hadn't been vacuumed, the room was still dirty, the bed unmade, the bathroom uncleaned, and the trash unemptied. Honestly, I couldn't believe this was the standard of a four-star hotel. We received a restaurant discount voucher upon check-in, but it was quite expensive. The breakfast was plentiful, but almost identical every day. The front desk staff deserves special mention for their hospitality. The swimming pool is beautiful and definitely worth mentioning. ”

“ We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Vietnam! The friendly staff made us feel right at home, and the rooftop pool and bar offered stunning views. The location was ideal, close enough to the city center for easy access while still providing a peaceful retreat. The highlight was definitely the breakfast buffet, which was one of the best we've ever experienced, with a wide variety of delicious options. The only downside was some noise from a nearby club celebrating (& singing) birthdays on weekends, but it usually quieted down by 10 or 11 PM. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for its excellent amenities and great location! ”

“ Le Vela Saigon Hotel Excellent room and service. When the front desk realized it was my birthday, they brought up a nice little birthday cake. It was delicious and a nice surprise. Best equipped hotel gym and best infinity pool view I’ve ever encountered and I’ve stayed at a 1000+ hotels worldwide. Nice city view, but loud music from nearby restaurant. Fortunately it ended at 1130. We asked to change rooms the next morning but apparently the hotel is surrounded by loud restaurants. Perhaps because of our complaint, the restaurant was much quieter on subsequent nights (we stayed for four). Included breakfast buffet was incredible. We also tried their dim sum lunch and lobster dinner buffets during our stay. Both were great and their dim sum buffet was a bargain as well. The only negatives are the nearby restaurant loud music, the hotel is a bit far from most attractions, and the in-house casino attracts many smokers. However, this 5-star hotel is definitely worthy of its stars and high rating, and likely because of its location, it’s the least expensive in ho chi min in district 1 and adjacent districts. ”

“ I absolutely loved my stay at La Vela Saigon Hotel. The rooftop bar and infinity pool are on another level—literally 27 floors up, covering the entire roof. The pool is massive and the views are just incredible, easily one of the best experiences in Ho Chi Minh. Originally, I only booked one night after reading some mixed reviews about cleanliness and the hotel being a bit dated. But once I arrived and saw the facilities and pool area for myself, I immediately extended my stay by another two nights—and it was the best decision I could’ve made. At first, my room was on the noisy side (across from a beer garden blasting music), but after a quick call to reception the friendly and accommodating staff moved me to the other side of the hotel. The new room was super quiet, with equally amazing city views. The staff here are all fantastic, delivering incredible service. A special shout-out to Andy, the pool assistant—what a legend and a real asset to the team. The facilities are top notch, and while the hotel itself might feel slightly dated in places, my room was absolutely 5-star: spotless, very comfortable, and with a great bed. On top of that, the dim sum buffet restaurant was another highlight besides the pool. Overall, La Vela exceeded my expectations and I’d happily stay again. Highly recommended! ”

“ Elegant Stay Near the Airport – Great Views and Service For our last three days in Vietnam, we chose La Vela Saigon mainly because of its proximity to the airport — and it turned out to be a great decision. We stayed on the 21st floor and had a wonderful view from our room, which was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The rooftop infinity pool looked amazing and would have been the perfect place to relax, but unfortunately, we didn’t have the time to use it. The same goes for the well-equipped gym, which also seemed excellent for a workout. The staff were professional, friendly, and always helpful, contributing to the overall classy feel of the hotel. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety — from continental classics to Asian rice porridge, Indian dishes, and Vietnamese pho. However, we were surprised to find relatively few vegetarian options, which might be something to improve. Overall, La Vela is a stylish, well-managed hotel that delivers on quality and comfort. We'd definitely consider staying again. ”
